My Two Cents: Portable Sounds

In short, a great record, though not necessarily as good as I had anticipated. Each of the three tobyMac albums feature a main ingredient that defines that particular batch of T-Mac's genre-defying, self-described musical "gumbo." Momentum has a strong rapcore flavor, Welcome to Diverse City a funk base, and Portable Sounds a pop punch. Perhaps that's why I am not as satisfied with PS. Don't get me wrong -- it's a strong project -- just not quite as tasty as I had hoped.
