Correction: Ornaments wrap up my listening year

After hearing rave reviews about The Ornaments for years, I finally made it to see the band present A Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guaraldi on Dec. 22.  What fun!

Stevens, Smith shows wrap up year

On Nov. 11, I saw indie folk darling Sufjan Stevens play the Ryman Auditorium once again.  Finishing the live performances of my listening year, I witnessed punk poet Patti Smith (above) in person on Nov. 13.
